OFA

Spice comes from the Far Field Louisiana Red litter. She was the most elegant of the females from this breeding and has matured into a gorgeous adult. She seems to be blessed with the best of both parents. Structurally sound, she feels wonderful under hand with beautiful sloping shoulders, long upper arm, good width fore/aft, spring of rib, a sweeping rear, short hocks, proper hare feet, and long correct tail. Her head and expression are especially lovely with high set ears, dark eyes, length, under jaw, and roman finish. From her earliest days, she never put a foot wrong showing the long, light, balanced movement I treasure. I find her very agile in the field and a beautiful self -stacker. True to her name, Spice is a very sassy, fun girl who is a kisser and a delight to live with.
Spicy was never out of the ribbons the few times she was shown. As a yearling, she placed in a large bred-by class at the LSBC Specialty under breeder/judge Pat Murphy. She returned to this specialty two years later and was awarded WB under breeder/judge Chris Neale. She then won
the large bred-by class at the following LSBC specialty and majored over the specialty winners that same weekend under Beverly Capstick. Spice earned her last point in fashion by going Best of Breed over 2 nationally-ranked specials (4/23/16) under Karen Wilson. What a thrill!

She is my second bred-by champion and currently half-way towards a Grand Championship.

Pedigree

Spice was a very sassy, fun puppy thus her name “cayenne.” In south Louisiana, cayenne pepper is a staple spice for local cuisine and used in well, almost everything.
